SubscriberI am using VoF in multiphase model and using 3 Eulerian phases, air and two metals. I initialized air through UDF and patching spherical metal particles using a journal file. The metals are different. When I read the journal file, there is a warning message:
Warning!! The sum of phase volume fractions exceeds 1 in some cell(s).
This can lead to potentially erroneous initialization. Please insure that the sum of phase
volume fractions in a cell does not exceed 1 during intitialization or patching!!
Can someone please tell what is the issue? After a certain time the patching stops.

Ansys EmployeeI've seen that a few times. If you initialise to all primary phase, then patch each secondary in turn it ought to work. Also watch the packing limit if you're using granular.

Boost Ansys Fluent Simulations with AWS
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) helps engineers design products in which the flow of fluid components is a significant challenge. These different use cases often require large complex models to solve on a traditional workstation.
