It Does not Solve. Stays meshing forever

      Hey guys!

My issue is that workbench 2020 R1 doesn't get to solve. Solve starts meshing, but it stays there forever and never stops.

I designed a very simple object to test, but even this one it doesn't solve.

      Thank you in advance

      Hello,

What physics are you trying to solve? And which tool are you using?

Could you please share some screenshots of your problem so we understand it better?

      Thank you.

      Hi!

I'm trying to analyze an object under tension force in the right side and fixed in the left. Material is structural steel.

I asked for equivalent stress and strain, and for total deformation. Just learning how to use the software.

As I ask to solve, it starts meshing (5%), but it doesn't go further and stays meshing non stop (always 5%).

      The printscreen:

      Thank you very much!

Could you please click on the status bar there? It should open up a pop-up window. What does the pop-up window say?

      Thanks.

      Hi!

As I tried 20 times, more or less, the same object, it ran correctly now.

Nevertheless, this problem still happens with other objects.

Pop-up windows says (and doesn't go further):

I thought it was memory problem, so I let it running for a couple of hours but it didn't go further.

Could you please try and coarsen the mesh to see if you are able to mesh your domain? If it is the RAM, at least, this should prove it.

      Thanks.

      Hi, Karthik!

It worked! I was using a mesh too small.

      Thank you so much!

      Best regards,

Perfect! Could you please try and mark the most appropriate answers as 'Is Solution' so it benefits others on the community?

      Thank you.
