SubscriberI am looking to find out if it is possible to make the layup orientation for a composite in ACP to be normal to a global coordinate system plane and not to the surface as it defaults?

Yes, you can use Oriented Selection Sets and use the Reference Direction to define the directions you want. Please see the following resources:
