SubscriberIf I open SpaceClaim with a model that has not been opened in Discovery Simulation it works fine ( see picture below).
If I open a file in SpaceClaim that has had analysis run in Discovery simulation, I get the "Designed using SpaceClaim Educational license. and the Ansys 2022 R2 is now missing(see picture below)
Also, when I have SpaceClaim open with internet, and try to open a file without internet access ( at a supplier ) , I get this message and then the SpaceClaim file closes.
Please let me know what I need to do to resolve these issues.
Thanks,
Bob

SubscriberHello Bob Wood
The first case is a known issue, and a bug ticket (637357) has already been filed for this on which the developers are investigating. While it still has been difficult to pinpoint the cause. Would you please provide the workflow (what type of analysis you had done in discovery, were the files saved on local system, etc.) after which this is occurring? Is the file attached here native to SpaceClaim? I will then provide the information to the development so they can comment on it.
Regards.

SubscriberThe SpaceClaim files are from a previous version of SpaceClaim. I save my FE files from discovery in the same folder as the mode in a separate folder named FEA. All files are on my laptop. Please see the screen shot for example.
My prints show that I am using a Educational Software. This is not good for my prints that I need to share with suppliers.
I used the default setting when installing.
I would be happy to setup a screen share to help resolve.

SubscriberI have used the Structural analysis in Discovery Simulation. I have 30 day license for the more advanced tools. You can remove these if it would fix the issue.

SubscriberHello Bob Wood Paesc
This is a defect, and there is no current solution for this as of yet (while the developers would continue to investigate and would resolve in future). I think the only workaround for this is to export the files in neutral file format, like step/Parasolid and the watermark should not appear. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Regards.

SubscriberHi Charudatta Bandgar ,
Our customer is experiencing this issue when inserting a drawing sheet. Therefore, exporting to step does not solve this issue. They cannot properly work right now due to the watermark on the drawing and need a fix as soon as possible.

SubscriberBob Wood I think for drawing sheets going back and forth between the products is not a suggested way to work. And neautral files will not work to retain the drawing sheet as well. I think the only way would be to work from SpaceClaim and extract drawings from there until the bug is resolved.
Regards.

SubscriberCharudatta Bandgar I am using SpaceClaim to load the drawing and do the drawing tasks. I do not use the drawing for simulation. I am not sure how to extract a drawing so that te watermark is missing. If I export to dxf, the watermark is still there. Please explain this work around. I need drawings without the watermark.

SubscriberHas there been any updates on this issue? It is embarassing when the supplier sees the watermark.
I have noticed that newly created models do not have the issue of the watermark, only older versions.

SubscriberBob Wood - Unfortunately it looks like the EDU mark is an active bug, but will be fixed in our 2023R1 release. We are actively working with the development team to identify a workaround for the issue. If you did not experience this in previous releases, you can revert back to that version for all new models/drawings for the time being.
For your file issue, are all of your files stored locally on your PC? Have you cleared your %temp% directory recently?CC: Charudatta Mark
