SubscriberGood night
Could you please tell me what is the reason for image number 1? Which tells me about an unexpected problem with the license, this problem happens when I want to load any worked file, which is recurring. And as for image number 2, could you also please help me with some idea to solve it, since this problem is even more recurring. Just to comment, I work with the official Ansys license which is on a computer at the university where I study, but I access it through an application which allows me to work remotely. This problem happens every time I let my simulation iterate and it ruins all the work, this problem does not have any defined pattern, since this problem appears when the problem is in the 100th iteration as well as after restarting my work and performing the iterations, it can appear at iteration 300 or 400 or any iteration number. This problem also appears when I do the following: I leave the FLUENT window open on the computer that has the program license, I close the application window which allows me to access that computer with the license (that is, I disconnect from the computer that has the license) and after a few hours I return to the application to access the computer with the license again, and the problem appears. BONE BY DOING NOTHING THE PROBLEM APPEARS (in leisure time).
The license I have is 2022 R2, I don't know if it's an update problem or what could be the problem?

RK
Ansys EmployeeHello,
May I know if this issue is occuring for a specific Fluent case or any Fluent simulation in general? Can you give us a brief background on the setup, physics involved and the mesh count? How many cores are you using?

SubscriberHi RK, thanks for your time. So, this problem occurs in any case of fluent simulation attempt that I was performing. In this case what I was simulating is a shell and tube heat exchanger with 4 passes through the tubes, one pass through the shell and 4 baffles. Through the tubes flows liquid water at 22.5°C and through the shell flows steam at 105°C, just for heat transfer analysis. Both fluids flow in parallel flow. My mesh consists of approximately 15 million elements. I connect to the computer in my university laboratory remotely, my computer is a 6-core computer and the computer to which I connect to do all this simulation is a 12-core computer. -

Ansys EmployeeTo clarify, when you close the window/software that links you to the Campus network does that fully disconnect you from that network?

SubscriberHello Robar
That's right. When I close the window that connects me to the campus, I get totally disconnected from that network. While supposedly on the campus network, Ansys should continue to calculate the iterations, but when you log back in, there are times when it finishes solving the iterations and, there are times when you get that error message.

Ansys EmployeeAnd the solver is running on the local machine or the one on campus? For the former, you've disconnected from the LM so Fluent will fail on the next LM call.

SubscriberThe solver as well as all work is being performed on the campus machine.
I understand, thank you.
And for the second problem, what would be recommended?

Ansys EmployeeIf everything is on the campus side and you're just linking onto the solver machine via VPN or the like there shouldn't be an issue.
Looking at the images in more detail, the first is simply that the campus LM has run out of keys: someone else is using them. The second looks to be a parallel failure, and is a node abort: that's not normally a Fluent failure but can be IT messing with the nodes or another user causing a node failure.
