SubscriberI have installed Ansys 19.0 student version.
Everything went smoothly while installing the package, but now when I am trying to import a geometry and start Mechanical Modeler it is giving a license error and not importing the CAD file.
Please help me with this...!!
I have attached a snip of the error screen.

SubscriberCan you try and convert your geometry to .step file ? If you can then it will work fine without and problems.

SubscriberAnother workaround is to open SpaceClaim first, then open the geometry file in SpaceClaim. Importing directly into the Geometry cell in Workbench doesn't work on the Student license. It works for commercial or Research licenses that include all the CAD interfaces.

SubscriberOkay, this should definitely work...
Right click on the Geometry cell and start DesignModeler.
In DesignModeler, File>Import External Geometry File and pick the Parasolid file.
You can delete whichever post above is incorrect.
