I am simulating pcm wax melting in rectangle enclosure . I have problem in the udf code while executing, Temperature is suddenly increasing and I dont know whether the udf code is correct or not. I switched on solidification/melting model.
I dont know how to define Liquid fraction in the udf. Thermal conductivity is dependent on liquid fraction. Can u please check whether the udf code correct or not.
P.S The f in the thermal conductivity section is liquid fraction and ktc is thermal conductivityMay 17, 2021 at 8:53 amRobAnsys EmployeeIf you read through the theory for solidification/melting you'll see why you can't access a liquid fraction. The above looks OK, so check what else is going on. If you make the conductivity purely temperature based what happens?
