Is there always a clear distinction between a liquid and a solid?

      Hello @Kremella

Fluid is a substance that deforms continuously under the application of shear (tangential) stress no matter how small the shear stress may be. A fluid can exist either as a gas or liquid phase. In comparison to a fluid, a solid also deforms when a shear stress is applied. However, this deformation in a solid does not increase with time.

      Hope that helps!
