Live 2013R3 Student licensing error

      Hi,

      A student of mine is having problems activating his license for ANSYS Discovery Live Student 2019R3. I attached an image of the error message.

      Do you have any idea, what the cause could be? He is connected to the university network if that matters.

      Which license is the user trying to use - named user (subscription) or floating? If it's the former, then please have him set the license option as Subcription from the Licensing Mode Manager.

      If the license is floating type, then the sever details specified seem to be incorrect. Go to WIndows start menu and run Client ANSLIC_ADMIN Utility in admin mode. Then click "Specify License Server Machine". Keep the 2 port numbers as default (and 2355 and 1055). Then go to Hostname 1 and specify the server name on which the license file is hosted.

      Please let me know if the issue persists.
