SubscriberHi
I am trying to model the interaction between two parts using *CONTACT_ENTITY in Ls-Dyna. I keep getting the following error message:
*** Error 20953 (STR+953)
entity number= 1 local X vector has zero length.
*** Error 20954 (STR+954)
entity number= 1 local Y vector has zero length.
*** Error 20018 (STR+18)
input phase completed with 2 fatal errors
I have checked the Ls-Dyna manual but cannot find a solution to this problem. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks

Ansys EmployeeYou must define local axes on Cards 3 and 4 of *CONTACT_ENTITY with the variables AX, AY, AZ and BX, BY, BZ. Presently, it seems they are defined as "0" or otherwise invalid. Please refer to Remark #3 of *CONTACT_ENTITY for more details.
