SubscriberI am working on renewing the license installation for LSTC for a group of faculty members. I generated a new server info file and received a new key from an operations specialist. However, when I import the new key file (which shows license expirations of 3/31/2023), it still reflects the old license information (with an expiration of 4/22/2022). I've tried restarting the server, as well as stopping/starting the LSTCLM service.
I did notice that in the key file, the "allow range" specified in the file has been modified by our institution's aggressive interpretation of IP addresses as URLs, which it puts behind a Proofpoint server. So, the allow ranges:
ALLOW_RANGE: 127.000.000.001 127.000.000.001
ALLOW_RANGE: 000.000.000.000 255.255.255.255
are turned into the following in the key file:
ALLOW_RANGE: https://urldefense.com/v3/__http://127.000.000.001__;!!NoSwA-eRAg!U01sFXEobDiLQSzsHUaWRh6B-5uCNfaaVHYNzH805LwmQ49OzH1-01oM2ArdHsJpzw$ https://urldefense.com/v3/__http://127.000.000.001__;!!NoSwA-eRAg!U01sFXEobDiLQSzsHUaWRh6B-5uCNfaaVHYNzH805LwmQ49OzH1-01oM2ArdHsJpzw$
ALLOW_RANGE: https://urldefense.com/v3/__http://000.000.000.000__;!!NoSwA-eRAg!U01sFXEobDiLQSzsHUaWRh6B-5uCNfaaVHYNzH805LwmQ49OzH1-01oM2AoGow0mFA$ https://urldefense.com/v3/__http://255.255.255.255__;!!NoSwA-eRAg!U01sFXEobDiLQSzsHUaWRh6B-5uCNfaaVHYNzH805LwmQ49OzH1-01oM2ApsHYGu6A$
I tried to remove the extra Proofpoint URL settings, save and import the file, but then receive error messages where the localhost server complains of key violations and doesn't start.
I asked the operations specialist to upload the key file to a Citrix ShareFile link (to hopefully bypass the Proofpoint tagging of IP addresses), but they pointed me to this forum.
Any help you could provide would be much appreciated.

The license file cannot be modified and so the ALLOW_RANGE has to stay be numbers and not url addresses. I will check with the operation specialist to get the original license file and send it back to you.
Thanks.
Reno.
