Lumerical FDTD gds export vertices limit

I wonder if there's a quick fix when receiving the error message: 'The number of vertices exceeds the limit of 8190'.

It seems this is the limit for GDS:

Version 3 of the GDS II file format limits the maximum size of polygons/path elements to 200 vertices. The technical limit of the file format structure is 8191 points, which is allowed in version 7. This limit can be set via the setup dialog or via a macro. If a polygon exceeds this limit, it will be split into two or more polygons when saving the file. The default setting is 8191. As a workaround it is possible to save polygons in multi-records and avoid that limit. This is not part of the GDS standard, but supported by some viewers. Activate gdsMultiXYRecord to use it and avoid splitting any polygons.

Hello! For the same script file I am getting error for line 6 that the index attribute cannot be complex.
My material is Au(Johnson and Christy) and structure is a waveguide.

My refractive index is complex. How can I generate GDS file in this case?

Hi Sun, Thank you for the information. I see that my polygon has reached the maximum number of vertices. The reference information claims that if the maximum number is reached GDSII will automatically split the polygon into two, which is fine in my case. The problem is that the generated gds file can not be read after this error message pops up. I wonder if there's anything I can do about it?

        Thank you.

It seems difficult. If possible, please try to use two export to cut the original polygon.
