Lumped port impedance for RFID

I'm going to design a patch antenna for RFID tag IC. The impedance of the IC is 80-j420. I want to use a lumped port in place of IC in driven modal simulation of HFSS. Lump port has two impedance settings. One in general tab, the other in post processing tab. Can you please help me know if I should set these impedances to 80-j420 or 80+j420 based on conjugate matching principle.

      Hello,

You should use actual impedance in your case i.e. 80-j420.

      Thank you,

      Thanks a lot.
When we have an imaginary part for the port impedance, HFSS calculation for realized gain is wrong because realized gain is much bigger than gain. That’s because the incident power becomes smaller than the accepted power. Is there anyway to correct the calculations? Any settings?
