SubscriberHi,
I received this error when I tried to use MAT295 for an SPH section:
Error 30281 (INI+281)
SPH initialization
Material number 1
material type 295 is not implementedIs that this model is not compatible with SPH section? Do you have other methods to incooperate the volumetric effect into a hyperelastic model for bio related material?
Thanks!

Ansys EmployeeHi Hansenli,
Check the following link for compatible material model for SPH
https://lsdyna.ansys.com/dynamat/
*MAT_176 can be the potential candidate.
Cheers, Ram

Ansys EmployeeHyperelastic materials and SPH typically don’t go together very well. SPH suffers from tensile instability, which means the material will have a tendency to break apart instead of deforming in tension. And as Ram mentioned, dynamat (based on information at the beginning of the *MAT section of the LS-DYNA User's Manual) indicates that SPH can't be used for MAT_295. If you're intent on using MAT_295, you could instead try EFG or SPG. -

SubscriberThank you for your advice! SPG cannot be used for MAT_295 either. Is there an update about this in the latest version. We are currently using R12 version.

Ansys EmployeeI'm unable to say with any certainty. To best answer that question, download version R14.0.0 and try it.
