SubscriberHi, I downloaded from the ANSYS customer portal the ansys_aas_ toolbox to connect matlab and Fluent. I didn't understand why sometimes during the connection phase, when the Matlab code calls the Fluent simulation, it appears an error related to CORBA
AVVERTENZA : "IOP00410201 :(COMM_FAILURE) Connection failure: socketType: IIOP_CLEAR_TEXT;
org.omg.CORBA.COMM_FAILURE: vmcid: SUN minor code :201 completed:No
I'm not expert with these stuffs. I'm calling Fluent several times with Matlab, sometimes this error appears sometimes not.
Thanks for the availability,
Raffaele

SubscriberHello,
To connect Matlab and Ansys Fluent and to access the Fluent's functionalities through Matlab, you can follow the steps shown in this tutorial - ANSYS Student: Matlab-Fluent coupling - Introductory ANSYS AAS example - Ansys Knowledge
If you want to learn more about the CORBA interfaces, you can go through the Ansys Fluent User's Guide - 4.2. Fluent as a Server CORBA Interfaces (ansys.com)
If you are not able to access the above links, refer to this forum discussion: How to access the ANSYS Online Help
Hope this helps you.

SubscriberThanks for your detailed answer, I followed the tutorial and it worked, but sometimes it appears always this error:
VVERTENZA : "IOP00410201 :(COMM_FAILURE) Connection failure: socketType: IIOP_CLEAR_TEXT;
org.omg.CORBA.COMM_FAILURE: vmcid: SUN minor code :201 completed:No
This error blocks the connection between Matlab and Fluent. I have also tried to impose a pause to give time to establish the connection between the two software. Is it possible that the problem is related to the version of Matlab and Fluent that I'm currently using? I'm using matlab 2023 and Ansys Fluent 2023r2.
Thanks!
Raffaele
