SubscriberHi all,
I am modeling a 1 m height cylinder inside a sphere of 50 m radius. I want to refine the mesh near the cylinder only, not the whole sphere, in order to not run out of memory. Is there any way to refine the mesh locally?

AdministratorHello,
Are you using workbench meshing for this purpose? if so, you can use a body of influence to refine the mesh around the cylinder. You can create an additional volume around your cylinder as a body of influence. A body of influence is an additional volume which is used to refine the mesh, however it does not get translated to the solver.
Here are some videos created by CFD Ninja on Youtube which explain this.
I hope this helps.
Best Regards,
Karthik

SubscriberThanks for your help, but I am using Maxwell for this purpose. Is there anyway to do this in Maxwell?
