Mechanical APDL: Static VS. Transient Analysis

  Good morning everyone. I have a problem with a simulation in Ansys Mechanical APDL. I am trying to simulate a flexible ABS gripper. First thing first, I have run a transient analysis and all worked well; then, I tried to run a static analysis with large displacement; unfortunately, the simulation does not converge from the beginning. This seems strange to me, but I don't understand why. In this problem, mass effects should be negligible, so the static analysis must go well...
  Anyone can suggest me how to solve this problem?

  What errors do you get in the solver output? For an underconstrained model, it is not unusual for this behavior, where transient converges, and static fails.
