Ansys EmployeeIf you new, then go for workbench.
With workbench you will get most of the functionalities. With APDL you will get much more advanced access to different commands.

If you are new to FEA and specifically ANSYS, I would recommend you to start with Mechanical.

Ansys EmployeeHi Sanju,
Workbench has a far more better GUI and then using APDL will provide you more insight into the way Workbench works. Also it will be easy to use them if you correlate to them as solving for a FEA problem.
