SubscriberHi George thank you for replying I deleted the post because I did not expect answers. Basically my issue was that Ansys mechanical was completely not responding I was following the Cornell University course and followed every step and when it was time to go and edit the model and insert the mesh it would just not open. I downloaded the student version so I am not sure if it is a licencing issue i tried other versions of the student software amd the results are the same. The error message just displays mechanical not responding.
If you have any idea what the problem might be it would be grat. Also i allowed all of the firewall permissions.
Thanks in advance

Ansys EmployeeBy "not responding", do you mean it did not start or allow you to start it or it opened and stopped responding?
Is there anything listed in the Windows Event Viewer?
Could it be your Virus Protection stopping it from running? -
