Meshing a 2D blend on a face transition

  Hi
  I am trying to mesh the following blend:
  Since this blend is on the edge between two faces it's hard to blend it nicely without getting an infinitesimally small element towards the end of the blend. Does anyone have a tip how to blend this?

  Is there a material change for the different color bands? If so, you can't avoid a small angle. But if there is no material change, then merge the gray face with the brown face and you will have the same condition as you have on the other end of the blend, an element that has a larger angle.

  Unfortunately there is a material change between those color bands
