meshing at contact

  Sir I am trying to generate the hexahedral element(SOLID 90) in the vicinity of the contact region (in the circle) with a very fine mesh for Hertzian contact stress modeling and coarse mesh in the rest of the volume. Please suggest me how can I proceed?

  Place a Coordinate System at the contact point. Add a Sizing Mesh control. Select the two bodies, and set the mesh control to Sphere of Influence, select the coordinate system, enter the radius and the element size.

  How can I apply an element (SOLID 195) in Ansys workbench using APDL Commands? Which element is best for Hertzian contact tress SOLID186 or SOLID 95?
