Dear Sir/ Madam, I would like to have help with improving mesh of a 3D FE model in ANSYS Mechanical. The geometry is if described simply a helix wound on a cylinder. The helix can twist so connections between cylinder and turns are modelled as frictional. There are large deformations and it is also desired to perform Transient/ Dynamic study. When applying high load there are convergence problems and I think first of all the mesh needs to be improved. Unfortunately, I am a beginner in ANSYS and do not have experience working with complex meshing. Could you please support how to improve the mesh? Please let me know if I should share the model.
Best regards,
Julia
