SubscriberI am following a research paper for my project but there are various mesh related terminologies i don't understand for porous media calculation and generation. Neither i am able to find them during meshing in fluent solver. Please identify what are these and where to find them. These include:
mesh distance L , opening area ratio of screen b, hydraulic diameter of screen dh, number of packed screens per length n, wire diameter of screen in meter dw, wire mesh of 200 mesh size woven of SS 304 material."

Ansys EmployeeHave a look in the Fluent User's Guide under Cell zones and boundary conditions. There's a very good section on porous media, along with ways to calculate the coefficients.

Boost Ansys Fluent Simulations with AWS
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) helps engineers design products in which the flow of fluid components is a significant challenge. These different use cases often require large complex models to solve on a traditional workstation. Click here to join this event to learn how to leverage Ansys Fluids on the cloud, thanks to Ansys Gateway powered by AWS.
