SubscriberHi all! Hope everyone is doing well as the holiday season is coming up!
As one of the goals for the end of my semester, I am trying to actually get a mesh working for this cut section of the Spray G Nozzle (shown in the image). The circle is a 1 mm diameter circle, and the file is an STL.
No matter what I do (like decreasing the mesh cell size), Ansys says that "The mesh generation did not complete due to poor quality elements or incorrect input. Please try meshing with another mesh method or different mesh options."
I would like to be able to refine the mesh differently in different sections as well so I would like to do a "face split" for a 3D section but I can't seem to modify the STL file to create sections.
Any advice to solve any of these problems? Thanks in advance!

Ansys EmployeeFrom image it does not look STL.If it is not STL then -The min orthogonal quality should be above 0.1 to proceed to solver. If it is less than 0.1 then please improve the mesh.First check the locations of the bad elements. Please see following video for the same.Once you have locations, please check if you can improve mesh using different mesh sizing. Please see following video. You can see more information about sizing at following link.https://ansyshelp.ansys.com/account/secured?returnurl=/Views/Secured/corp/v221/en/wb_msh/msh_Use_Adv_SF.html?q=sizingIf this does not help, you may need to check if you can use pinch control or virtual topology. If this does not help, please go to geometry and modify or simplify geometry at those locations in SpaceClaim. If geometry is in STL then it will be good to work in Fluent Meshing. Please go through help manual for more details
