      Hello,

I have some difficulties to run ansys discovery aim for a static simulation and my biggest problem is that i cannot determine where are the issues from...

First, before begin any simulation i have this message which appear in the "messages" box :

An exception has occurred trying to load Ansys.UI.Web.Workbench.UI.features.xml from Assembly Ans.WebUI, Version=20.1.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null.

I don't know if there is a real issue here with this first problem.

Second, and much more relevant, when i launch the Physic Solver for my static simulation (I precise that i have done the mesh manually before and it was alright). I have a message error which appears :

The problem is for me :

Physics 1 : Les dimensions du tableau dépassent la plage prise en charge

      In english :

Physics 1: Array dimensions exceed supported range

I precise the first error message "the CAD translator for this file type was not found." is, for me, not a problem, i managed to import the CAO file anyway.

Can you help me about this problem ?

      Sincerely,

      Tifenn KERBIRIOU

      Hello TifennK

An exception has occurred trying to load Ansys.UI.Web.Workbench.UI.features.xml from Assembly Ans.WebUI, Version=20.1.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null.

Regarding the above error, one user reported this issue and he was not able to see the standard templates like Structural, Fluid Flow, Thermal, etc. after opening Discovery AIM. Is this the same case with you? If yes, then please follow the steps mentioned in below article and let me know if you still face any issues.

      Hello Naresh Patre

      Thank you for your answer,

I have no issue about the standard templates, i am able to see them all and to start one of them without any issues.

I have followed the steps in the article anyway, to be sure, and i still have the error message when i start AIM.

      Hello TifennK

      Thanks for your reply!

Can you follow the steps mentioned below:

      1. Delete all contents from %temp% folder

      2. Go to C:UsersAppDataLocalAnsys folder and rename folder "v201" to "v201_old" (if you have other version rename that folder).

Once done, restart your machine and check if you see the same error messages in AIM. If yes, I would suggest uninstalling and reinstalling Discovery products. While installing make sure that you right-click on the setup.exe file and select the "Run as Administrator" option and then install the products.

Please let me know how it goes.

      Hello Naresh Patre

Thanks for your reply and your advices.

I have done the 2 steps that you asked me to do. No results, still the same error message...

So i have reinstalled Discovery AIM (with "Run as Administrator") and i still have the message.

Then I retried step 1 and 2 to be sure, but the message is still here...

An exception has occurred trying to load Ansys.UI.Web.Workbench.UI.features.xml from Assembly Ans.WebUI, Version=20.1.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null.

I precise that the license is not on my computer, it is on a server. Maybe the problem comes from it?

Thank you again for your time.

      Hello TifennK

Thanks for your reply. I will now have to check with the development team about these errors. I will let you know their response. Meanwhile, is it possible for you to check this on another machine and see if you are still getting the same errors?

      Hello TifennK

Also, are you getting the error "Physics 1: Array dimensions exceed supported range" with all projects or a particular project file?

      Hello Naresh Patre

Sorry for the late response, I cannot check this on another machine because we have just one license for only this machine.

I tried with a simpler project and i didn't get the error "Physics 1: Array dimensions exceed supported range".

The problem should come from this particular project...

      For the first error :

An exception has occurred trying to load Ansys.UI.Web.Workbench.UI.features.xml from Assembly Ans.WebUI, Version=20.1.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null.

The message appeared at the beginning and then disappeared when i launched the simpler project.

I don't really know what to think, I am trying different configurations with the first project but it takes time with the meshing… Maybe I am just doiing Something wrong with this project...

Anyway, thank you for your time and your answers,

      Tifenn

      Hello TifennK

Will it be possible for you to share the project (archived file format) so that I can look at it?
