I'm a new user of fluent. I have to simulate magnetic metal chip detector of an aircraft engine oil flow circuit. The magnetic detector should detect and attract any ferrous debris chips present in the oil . Is it right to simulate a particle laden flow (DPM) with magnetohydrodynamic module to realize this flow? I have uploaded the chip detctor image for your reference. -

Ansys EmployeeYou can use MHD with DPM. The DPM trajectories will be influenced by the magnetic field. The effect of the volumetric charge on the electric field is neglected and if important you need to code it. But you can first start using the default models.
