      Hello Everyone
I'm a new user of fluent. I have to simulate magnetic metal chip detector of an aircraft engine oil flow circuit. The magnetic detector should detect and attract any ferrous debris chips present in the oil . Is it right to simulate a particle laden flow (DPM) with magnetohydrodynamic module to realize this flow? I have uploaded the chip detctor image for your reference.

You can use MHD with DPM. The DPM trajectories will be influenced by the magnetic field. The effect of the volumetric charge on the electric field is neglected and if important you need to code it. But you can first start using the default models.

      Dear Sir
Thanks for your help. I could not find any tutorial online in this domain . As I'm new to fluent could you please show a tutorial of simple dpm fluid flow in a pipe under magnetic field influence. Thanks again
