SubscriberHello,
i am new to the MHD module and have a problem with my simulation.
I want to apply an external magnetic field to magnetic particles to attract them to a wall of my geometry. My particles exist as a granular phase in the Mixture Model. The properties are those of iron oxide with a size of 1 micrometre. My primary phase is water. If I now apply an external magnetic field, I do not see any movement of the secondary phase. What could be the problem that there is no force effect on my phase? Does anyone have a suggestion? -

Ansys EmployeeI don't think the two models are automatically connected. You may need to use a UDF to move the granular phase based on the charge and field gradients.

Boost Ansys Fluent Simulations with AWS
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) helps engineers design products in which the flow of fluid components is a significant challenge. These different use cases often require large complex models to solve on a traditional workstation.
