      Hi

I noticed that when I go to mirror two components the relationship of the mirror does not work, is it normal or am I wrong?
Creating the mirror between two solids instead works correctly, if I make a change in one of the two solids, the other is updated too.
      I am attaching a video

This is the intended functionality. There is an option to revert to the old behavior if you’d like to do that.

Refer to the attached PDF and change the syntax to: “C:Program FilesSpaceClaim 19.2SpaceClaim.exe” /noincubator=”New Copy-Mirror Components”

I thank you very much, why did you remove this feature in the new version?

la vecchia opzione se impari a gestirla è molto utile. Capisco che per i nuovi è un po 'complicato, ma se usato bene è molto utile.

I recommend that you put an option when creating the mirrored component, you can not remove this function. I have already lost hours of work because you made this change without warning.

This feature was changed for 2 reasons:

        1. The item being mirrored was not truly created.  For example, if you made a component with raised text "MIRROR" and mirrored it, it would appear to be backwards.  However, when you open the mirrored component on its own, it would still show up in the original orientation.  This was problematic when users needed to create a drawing sheet or manufacture the mirrored part, because it did not exist.
        2. There was a lot of demand from the user base to fix this feature.

I understood your position ... but sincerly I think that even a simple and collaborative CAD like SpaceClaim have to be able to mange mirrored parts and not only!!

For example if I have half (or part of half) assembly to mirror and some component have to be "left and right" ad some other have to be the same part simply assembled in the opposite position ... how have to do to manage this with SpaceClaim? Manually?

Using this approach for Spaceclaim Discovery (which is installed in a different path!) killed my license management, so users, be warned! It took me hours to figure out how to get back to a working state.

      I recommend using "C:Program FilesANSYS Incv192SCDMSpaceClaim.exe" /UseLicenseMode=true /noincubator="New Copy-Mirror Components" for that, when you're on a named user license.

Still, this does not solve the issue completely. If one user opens a file created with the above setting by simply doubleclicking its icon in the explorer, Spaceclaim will launch the usual way and destroy the mirror relationship without any notice.

For that reason, it would be very much apprciated, if this could be an option to

      a) turn on as a permanent setting under Spaceclaim options in the "Advanced" tab.

      b) store with the component(s) created, so no unsuspecting user could accidentally break an intended relationship.

      c) make it a component property and display it as such in the properties tab.
