Are you using Graphics hidden lines removed? 

Even I am seeing this issue, let me check with the team, and see what could the problem be. Although with the view being rotated, the edges can be seen.

But the bottom view in this case is still not showing the edge.

yes, we are using hidden lines removed. About using the rotate view in this case it works, but unfortunately it happens on some other drawings and if the model is not symmetrical we can't do that.

I verified this strange behaviuor: in the pipe, under the weldment, there is an hole (selected in the below image). If you delete the hole the missing line is shown. Obviously the hole is needed, and this cannot be a solution, but can you check if this behaviuor can help to understand why the line is missing?
