I am trying to calculate the modal volume of a microdisk. However, I am getting the following error: matrix arguments of * are not the same size. Any idea of how to solve it? Both E and refractive index monitor contain data.

This can happen when the two monitors do not use the same settings. Please make sure the two monitors have the same settings, in particular the frequency points. By default, the index monitor only records data at one frequency.
you can add two lines to know their dimensions:
?size(eps);
?size(E2);
