Model of cable element

  Hey I am struggling with cable element. I want to simulate something like a spider web so basically some cable attached together with 3 rotational degree of freedom at each nodes. And translation blocked. I have tried beam element with circular section and shared topology but seems like the connection is fixed. Also tried Link180 but didn't work very well.
  I mesh by 1 division only when I do it. Someone has an idea on how to that ?

  since you specifically mention the CABLE element why don't you try CABLE280, which seems to me to be the only currently supported one suitable for the purpose?
