I am currently working on a model in Icepak of a water block with a heat sink. The product is shown below.

Hi here are answers to your questions:
      1) Yes there is not a problem breaking the bigger block into smaller pieces as long as they care in perfect connection with each other, they should act as a single entity for the solver.
      2) You can create a new surface or solid material in Icepak if its not present in the default library materials. Please check the user guide on how to do this.
      3) For the specifying the flow and temperature, you need to create openings , one for inlet and other for outlet both places on top of the fluid blocks. For specifying any flow/thermal boundary condition for the opening, it should either be placed on the Cabinet face, or on a hollow block. So either, you can pull down the Cabinet top side to touch the opening and fluid block, or else create a separate hollow block touching the opening and fluid block top side.
      Hope this helps!

I had to deal with a similar situation and i got a warning saying that the flow and thermal specifications are ignored for internal opening 'Opening Name' and iam not able to decipher why this might be pls help.
