SubscriberHi
I'd really appreciate any input and some help with modelling a gripping mechanism I've designed for a college project. I'm quite new to ANSYS and hence I am encountering some trouble getting it right.
Essentially its a specimen (electrospun material but for the purpose of the test its PLA) undergoing a generic tensile test, however, it's being pulled from both ends on the custom-built tensile rig. The reason for this is to observe the deformation of fibres in the middle of the specimen. The gripping is also custom as seen in the image below from Solidworks. The addition of the pins is to act almost like hooks in the material along with the clamping force.
