Modeling of sandwich structure with insert

      Hi everyone
I'm currently trying to model the testing setup for my bachelors thesis. It's a square piece of CFRP - Aluminiumhoneycomb sandwich. I do know about the general way to model a sandwich. However there is a hole in the sandwich for the insert (which i also want to model) and the core has a bigger hole than the CFRP skins. Materialpropreties aside: how would you guys go about this problem?

Also I'm still a bit of a noob in Ansys because I usually work with Abaqus (at least that's what i go taught..)

      Cheers and thanks in ahead!
