SubscriberDear Ladies and Gentleman,
I want to know the deflection and the stress of a very big modell.
Therefore I will calculate the deflection of the whole modell and then look at the importent areas closer with submodells.
The modell is an welded construction. There are many welds like shown on the following picture and I am not sure how to modell them in ansys.

Ansys Employee,nThere are several ways to represent welds in ansys via connections, 3d elements and shell elements. You may follow this which I think might be suitable for your case(2 bonded contact per fillet and one frictionless contact for the welded structure).nRegards,nIshan.nnViewing 1 reply thread- You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
