can any one guide me for the proper method to do transient moving heat source analysis and simulation in ansys mechanical apdl software.
currently, i am working on to apply moving heat source from plasma welding torch to the apply on plate weld joint and doing analysis of it, so if anyone know proper method then pls guide me.

thank you for providing this information. i had read all information and understand how to proceed and eliminate different errors.i am using ansys student version 19.1.
now, currently i am trying to download moving heat source V4.1 from following site : https://catalog.ansys.com/product/5b3bc6857a2f9a5c90d32e7e/moving-heat-source#download
and for that i also done register on the site which is followed after moving heat source site to download it.
though i provided all details correctly when doing sign up but i can't do sign in from any of my device.
so , if you have knowledge regarding this then please provide me that how to resolve it or any other source from where i can download it

I am from L. D. College of engineering. In our college there is not any department for operating and maintaining Ansys account. Are there any other online sources from where I can download it?

do you know about any other manual method to do the moving heat source analysis ? and if you know any manual method to do it in ansys workbench then it wil also be helpful.

Are you having trouble accessing the app store? If so, I wont be able to help since it is on the Admin/IT side. You can try emailing firstname.lastname@example.org and see what's going on with your account. However, to download apps, you must have a recognized ANSYS account.
Please see this post in the discussion I link to earlier. It has the commands you need to get started. As I state there, you would need to extend the 1d workflow to a 2d or 3d table which includes both time and coordinate variation. See the table definition in that post.

Yes,I can't login into my ansys app store account and Thanks for providing contact email .I will contact them about my account related problem.
I seen the post regarding 2d and 3d table workflow method and now able to understand how to apply this manual method for my problem. and i will be able to do moving heat source analysis using this method.
