Hello, I am trying to model a double-tuned extended tube expansion chamber muffler in Harmonic Acoustics.  I am not getting proper results.  d= 40 mm; D =160 mm La = 200; Lb= 100; Lc=100; Seek Experts guidance. Thanks a lot.

Hello Akhilesh,

By proper results, do you mean validating the results? Do you have any experimental data to compare with Ansys results? What is the percentage error you face?

It was just a textbook solution, The answer expected was (see dotted lines) and 

the simulation results are, 

 

 

 

I got the simulation right for a single expansion chamber.

Expected (See m=16)

 

Obtained excellent correlation to the theoretical formula,

It shows that you have contacts defined, where are they? Also could you confirm the dimension, that l_b = l_c? The figure seems like l_a=l_c.
