Negative Reflectance Dip of Basic Laser Cavity?

  I don't know why we got a negative reflectance dip for the following setup:

  Are you using log scale?
  If not, it might mean you need to significantly increase the simulation time and reduce the ausothutoff min and make sure it is the autoshutoff that terminates the simulation. i.e., the simulation stopped before it reaches 100%. Please increase the simulation time 100times and check.
  It might also mean that the PML reflection is strong. Check if the PML is thick enough, eg ,half wavelength, and far away from the device. this is necessary if there is SPP and the field tails are long.
  
  Please try and let me know if it improves. Once it improves but still negative while majority positive, then continue what you have done.

  The error is because the PML wasn't thick enough.
