SubscriberI am modeling a projectile travelling through a gelatin block but when checking the velocity probe I have attached to the projectile it does not change as it passes throught the gelatin block. why is this?

Ansys EmployeeHi James
You've defined a constant velocity for the projectile. Instead of that what are the defined initial conditions (if any)? The projectile should have a initial velocity defined instead.

SubscriberHi Mike,
Thank you for your help. I have tried to apply the velocty (under the initial conditions section on explicit dynamics) however, when I highlight my projectile (so I can add the velocity to it) it won't let me. Do you know why this may be happening. I've attached a photo to show the issue as well as the other inital conditions I have applied.

Thank you for your help. The velocity is now changing as it passes through the block

Boost Ansys Fluent Simulations with AWS
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) helps engineers design products in which the flow of fluid components is a significant challenge. These different use cases often require large complex models to solve on a traditional workstation.
