Hi , i am Rupesh Kumar pursuing my M.tech from IIT Delhi doing my M.tech thesis work under Prof. Samaresh Das. While simulating a structure in CHARGE module of lumerical Software. I am getting some error which i am not able to resolve it. The error screenshot and structure screenshot I have attached . Kindly help

Hi Thank you for reaching out. Based on the error it seems you have assigned a voltage boundary condition to a region that is not defined as a metal (domain 1). Metal type materials should be used as contacts. Please switch the simulation to partition mode and click on domain 1 to verify which object this error is referring to. Then update the assigned material for the object or change the defined boundary condition so it points to a metal.
      Best regards Khash

HI @kghaffari thankyou for your response. the Domain 1 where i am getting this error upon checking on switching to partition mode is Silicon substrate in my structure , for the sake of checking i even changed
the material of substrate from Silicon to Aluminium but i am not able to resolve it.

I am attaching my file here , kindly help me out

Hi Thank you for the update. We are not allowed to download attachments on the forum. Can you please share screenshots of the following settings so I can further comment:
Geometry tab of all defined voltage boundary conditions.
      Domains listed in partition mode.
Latest error message you get after running the simulation.
      Best regards

hi this is the structure I am simulating.
      this error I am getting
this is the domain 1 in which no dimension is defined

this is the dimension i have used:
