SubscriberSo i wanted to increase the number of nodes and the elements in 2d heat conduction experiment. As i was able to increase the number of elements but the nodes where visible only on the corners of each element and not on the sides of each element so as to make it 3 variable polynomial equation. I am getting 45 nodes as suppose to 121 elements. How can i add the elements on the sides also.
Thank You

Ansys Employeedo you mean mid side nodes?
if so then you will need to use mechanical as physics preference.
i thought it is for fluids. somebody from mechanical expert please comment here.

SubscriberUnder Mesh, change the Element Order from Linear (or Program Controlled) to Quadratic. That will cause midside nodes to be created on the elements.
