SubscriberHello everyone,
I'm trying to investigate the critical buckling load factor of a wingplate. As can be seen the bottom 4 edges are simply supported and the two yellow lines are constrained in x-directions. The following loads are applied:

Ansys EmployeeHello ArrayTo perform a eigen value (linear) buckling it is required to couple static structural solution with eigen value buckling setup. However, for a non-linear buckling the process is different and you do not need a eigen value buckling toolbox. Please check this video on linear/nonlinear buckling https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ePBKlkGFqE. Also, I am not quite sure how you have assigned the constraint. Try using a displacement instead of a remote displacement to check if the issue persists.nnRegardsnIshannViewing 1 reply thread- You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
