SubscriberHello everyone!
Is there anyone can explain me on how normal vectors are computed within the Ansys mechanical software for both flat and curved surfaces of the elements?
regards,

SubscriberCan you tell me how Ansys Mechanical calculates and imposes traction vectors on the surface of a 10-node quadratic tetrahedron solid element? Because even I have tried to look at the manual I still could find any helpful information about that.

SubscriberHello Aniket!
Thank you for your response. What I mean is, there is a quadratic tetrahedron element and its one face is curved and I want to find the normal vector acts on that surface including the position of that vector. So I want to know how the software calculate that normal vector and which location of the vector imposed on that element's face (is it imposed on the centre of the element's face or on each node on the element's face?). And how does Ansys assume it?
Regards,
SoThun
