SubscriberHi,
I am trying to use the Universal Plot to sweep through the incidence angle at which light comes in the prism (the independent variable X), and from there determine the maximum path lengh within the sample (the dependent variable Y). I was successfully able to do this but I noticed for certain angles there is an error message saying "Some of the operands cannot be computed." My initial thought is that at certain angles, the output light doesn't hit the imaging plane due to it not meeting the critical angle criteria. Is this the case? And if so what is a way to go about this? Do I have to make a merit function, and what operands should I use?
