SubscriberI am doing sensitivity analysis on my model and am confused which one to use optislang or designxplorer?
what is the difference between them? which one is better? and why?
for ex, i want to observe heat flux by changing material properties

Forum ModeratorHi,
Both Ansys optiSLang and Ansys DesignXplorer serve the purpose of performing optimization and sensitivity studies. OptiSLang is a powerful tool for optimization, statistical analysis, and process integration, whereas DesignXplorer is an integrated Ansys Workbench tool for parametric analysis and optimization studies. When deciding which tool to use, it's essential to consider the specific requirements of your analysis, simulation setup, and desired outcome. OptiSLang might be more suitable for complex optimization problems or when you need to incorporate different tools into your workflow, whereas DesignXplorer may be more appropriate for simpler optimizations or work within Ansys Workbench.

SubscriberThank you so much for the answers.
I am using ansys student, there is no optislang in that package. So I can use optislang only when I purchase the license, or is there any other way?
Regards
Sahithi

Ansys EmployeeHi Sahithi,
optiSLang is not included in Ansys Student, but Ansys optiSLang is included in the Academic Bundles:
