Outlet boundary settings for bin fraction of Population Balance Model

      So you use zero flux which will enforce zero gradient for the bin equations. Transport equations requires boundary values even if one might think that it is not required here because we have already provided volume fraction condition but one easily forgets that PBE models rely on solving additional transport equations where you need to close the system to have them solved.

      Thank you so much for your response. In my case, I cannot give a specific value or flux for the outlet boundary condition as the value should be calculated by FLUENT. Actually, I want to track the volume fraction at the outlet boundary. In your reply, did you mean that the PBE models in FLUENT need a numeric value or flux to close the equations? What if I want to track the volume fraction distribution in my domain? What variable name should I use?

      For that reason you need to give a zero flux. Fluent will just extrapolate the values calculated from the inner domain.
