SubscriberHi,
I am working with the hydrodynamic simulations (diffraction and time response) of a semi-submersible floating platform which has moorings in it. I was able to run both 'hydrodynamic diffraction' and 'hydrodynamic response' analysis using Ansys Aqwa. Now, I need to get the mooring stiffness matrix so that I can input it to other software for further analysis. Any guidance will be much appreciated. Cheers!

Ansys EmployeeHello,
the mooring forces and stiffness matrix are calculated when running a hydrodynamic response (Aqwa librium for instance). You should see a MFK file in your working directory and can also get the information out of the LIS file.
I hope this helps,

SubscriberHi,
Thank you very much for your reply. I am using Ansys Aqwa 2023 R1 and my query is now divied into two parts:- Actually, I’ve got two MFK files (EQUILIBRIUM.MFK & TIMERESPONSE_EQ.MFK) under my working directory (*\dp0\AQW-1\AQW\AQ\Analysis) and the contents are not the same!
Could you please be specific on which files I should consider? - Kindly take a look at the attached (part of TIMERESPONSE_EQ.MFK) file and please let me know about whether the marked portions is the correct location for combined global mooring stiffness matrix. If it is not, kindly guide me to find the correct combined global mooring stiffness matrix.
Cheers!
