SubscriberHello,
I want to analyse this airfoil in ANSYS Fluent, for different angles of attack and different ground clearances. To make the meshing better, as I understand it, one of the best ideas is to put the lines I show in the image. If I want to move the angle of the airfoil with respect to an origin, ideally those lines should move according to the movement of the airfoil, but this does not properly generate the surfaces so that the meshing goes in order, all after split de original surface into the different faces created by each line and delete the airfoil surface.
My question is basically, how do I design the geometry in SpaceClaim so that I can parameterise the angle of the profile and the floor so that the surfaces move at the same time and there are no gaps and not only the lines move?
Thanks.

Ansys EmployeeYou can check Block function in SpaceClaim.
Please go through help manual for more details
Also you can change angle of attack in Fluent by chaning input direction components.

SubscriberHi,
Thanks to the Blocks Functions it is now easier for me to parameterise the ground clearance. However, I still can't get the profile to move with the rest of the surfaces as I said.It must be because of something when importing the coordinates, that it doesn't generate the sketch correctly and it understands it as two different layers and that's why it doesn't move all at the same time. I'm importing it from a .txt file with assembly, I don't know if this has something to do with it.I know that it can be changed in Fluent, what happens is that on the one hand I don't know how to parameterise the force vectors so that lift and drag are always perpendicular and parallel respectively to the flow, as in reality they are outputs (I could only parameterise the angle in the velocity, maybe you can also help in this aspect) and on the other hand I want to see if it is possible in this way.Thanks. -

Ansys EmployeeIn structure tree, does it show single surface or multiple. If multiple please use Repair-Stitch option. Then use other commands to rotate.
In Fluent you will need to use components to define inlet velosity.
U component will be cos of angle and V componenet would be sine of angle.
Please go through help manual for more details

SubscriberThere is only one surface. I'm not able to make it rotate and the faces match the profile, so I'll try other things and that's it.
Thanks all the same,
Regards.
