SubscriberHello,
I am working in 2D-Maxwell and I design a rectangular as a coil. I need to investigate various specified dimensions that I get from MATLAB.
The parameters are R_in, Coil_Length, Number_turns. I have the values of each parameter in an excel file. how shall I import these values in the Optimetrics section?

Ansys EmployeeHello,
Instructions on using " add a parametric sweep from a file" can be found in the Maxwell help manual and the following section:
"Maxwell Help > Optimetrics > Setting Up a Parametric Analysis > Adding a Parametric Sweep from a File".
Make sure you have defined the parameters correctly in your design and they have the right units. Depends on the problem you are trying to solve, choose the right solver type. If you are looking to model a coil with multiple turns as a lumped object, you may want to use the stranded type in your excitation definition which is available in certain types of solvers (Eddy Current, Transient, Magnetostatic...).
