Permissions for installation

  Hi!
  
  I am Master student and I plan to use ANSYS for my master thesis. I will be working on some thermal simulations. I wanted to know if I could install ANSYS student and use it in the laptop that I received from my company for work. If anyone knows about this or can guide me where to look for such details I would be very thankful.

  Is your account on that computer in the Administrators group so that you have permission to install software? That is required. What version of Windows is on the computer? Is it 64-bit?

  Thank you for your reply. Yes I do have admin rights to install software. Its a Windows 10 64-bit computer. Is it legally okay to install ANSYS student on company computers?

  Anirudh, you can install software on any machine as long as your simulation work satisfies the terms of use.
